Lensovet Concert Hall welcomes Finnish symphonic metal group Apocalyptica 30th September 2011

These classically trained cellists began their career by covering Metallica tracks. The band’s fame grew rapidly due to their unusual arrangement of familiar songs modified through the string instruments. This, coupled with great showmanship, appealed to thousands of fans around the world. Their unique style and virtuosity brought on collaborations with such successful acts as Rammstein, Slipknot and HIM, as well as their heroes Metallica.

Since the release of their debut album “Apocalyptica Plays Metallica By Four Cellos” in 1996, these bow-wielding Finns have played over 600 gigs in 60 countries and their record sales have reached 3 million copies. Having moved on from covering other bands, they now write and record original material and are one of the most successful metal bands in Europe.

Apocalyptica will perform at Lensovet Concert Hall, one of the most versatile venues in town. Whether you prefer to shake it on the dancefloor or relax in one of the comfortable seats while enjoying your favourite band, the Lensovet Concert Hall definitely has it!!
